Right of cancellation
A consumer who has concluded an electricity sale agreement by telephone or post, or via a data network, is entitled to cancel the agreement within 14 days without specifying any reason for doing so. The cancellation period is deemed to begin when Vattenfall Oy receives details of the agreement by telephone, by post, or via a data network.
The deadline for cancellation expires 14 days after concluding the agreement.
A consumer is entitled to cancel the agreement within 14 days without specifying any reason.
How to cancel an agreement
A consumer must notify Vattenfall Oy in one of the following ways when exercising the right to cancel an agreement:
- By telephoning our customer service department on 020 722 9000 (09.00–17.00 on weekdays, local and mobile call rates apply)
- By completing the cancellation form on the Vattenfall website
The cancellation will be deemed valid when the notice was sent before the expiry of the deadline for exercising the right to cancel.
Effects of cancellation
The agreement shall lapse when Vattenfall Oy receives a cancellation notice.
A consumer who has asked for electricity supplies to begin before the end of the cancellation period must pay the supplier full contractual compensation for the electricity supplied up to the time of submitting the cancellation notice.
